Since its announcement of Gear S2 and Gear S2 Classic, it has been slightly more than two years. Although Gear has been a major focus for the S3 company, it still has not forgotten about the previous model and still updates all the time now.

The firm has released the update of Smartwatch, which gives it some optimization, which will improve battery life and also protect it.There is no information beyond this, but the folks at SamMobile did report that the update did hit the Netherlands, so it should be rolling over to other Gear S2 owners sometime around the world.

In order to update the watch, make sure it's connected to a compatible smartphone and open the Gear app. In the app, you will be able to check to see if an update is available and after starting it the download process should start. The build version of the update is XXU2EQJ2 and comes in 22 MB.
