Lukes film today announced a fourth Star Wars trilogy, which is with Ryan Johnson, author / director of The Last Jedi, set to helm. The Force is strong with this one.

For a long time with colleague Ram Bergman, who will produce, Johnson has instructed to write and direct three brand-new films.

While the details remain rare, StarWars.com reportes the new trilogy would be different from the Skywalker saga. It also goes to the state "Johnson will introduce new characters from one corner of the galaxy that Star Wars lore has never searched for before."

“Episode VIII: The Last Jedi,” will release this December 15th, with the following installment, an as-yet-unnamed Episode IX, set for December 2019.

Today's news can tell why Johnson is not included in Episode IX, which is being directed by J.J. Abrams.

The franchise has also been set to make Han Solo epic, plus another as-yet-unnamed anthology film. And now we are getting a whole new trio of mysterious warriors in space movies!

As mentioned, there is not much information to go there, and the idea of getting new stars of the Star Wars galaxy is simply unclear so that we can provide all the healthier expectations.

Personally, I'm hoping for an epic space opera featuring the origin story of  Figrin D’an and the Modal Nodes was included before they got to the Mos Eisley Cantina.

There’s no release date or time-frame yet, but just knowing another trilogy exists – “there is another” – is enough to give “A New Hope” to the galaxy. Okay, I’ll stop.

2017 just got so much sweeter. May the Force be with us all.
